Salutations!
Welcome to a tiny corner of the Internet called Abdicate the Cube.
Here, an intrepid young woman (me!) who lives by the sea with an ill-behaved Himalayan cat called Teani (inexplicably pronounced "tee-nee") posts stuff. Sometimes that stuff is photos she took. Or projects she made. Or stuff she likes. Or pictures of said cat.
Okay, let's back up.
I (hereby known as B. Marie for the purposes of this blog) will revert to a first-person narrative to tell you that in my daily life as a magazine editor, I spend a hell of a lot of time in a cubicle. I try my very best to be outrageously cool when I'm outside the confines of corporate America. It doesn't always work.
To combat cubicle fatigue, I've taken up knitting & fitness & photography & quasi-gardening & air guitar & vegan cooking & meditating & world travel & cat rearing & spontaneous solo dance partying.
Also, I like anchovy pizza.
Anyway, I hope someday to be Internet famous for my really baller DIY tutorials or cutting edge hikaru dorodango skillz. (I suppose, first, I must become a talented crafter or serious mud ball shiner for those things to come to fruition.) In the meantime, please enjoy whatever mediocre ramblings I happen to throw out into cyberspace via Abdicate the Cube.
