Before they were tacky lawn ornaments, gnomes appeared in Renaissance literature as tiny spirits with a penchant for alchemy & the occult. Creepy, right?
Despite the ever-present freaky factor of gnomes, I find the little guys weirdly adorable. I mean, how can you not fall in love with Mochimochi Land's Jumbo Gnome?! Once my knitting skills are up to snuff (I'm still in my lumpy scarf phase) I hope to make one of these awesome dudes.
